Motivational Monday - Start your day with a little sugar‼️😁❤️💕#209
Wednesday Dec 20, 2023
Wednesday Dec 20, 2023
Today is Monday December 18th, on today's show:
**I like to start the show with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE! Today is a bit different. I am going to tell you a couple of quotes and then get into my thoughts.
**Quote of the day:
Can you figure out which movie these quotes are from?
"There is no life I know to compare with PURE imagination."
"Invention, my dear friends, is 93% per-spir-ation, 6% electricity, 4% evaporation, and 2% butterscotch ripple."
"The suspense is terrible. I hope it will last."
"If you want to view paradise, simple look around and view it. Anything you want to , do it. Want to change the world? There's nothing to it."
Willy Wonka! I watched both yesterday and I still like the 1st the best. It was movies like Willy Wonka that we would watch as kids and always learned how to be a better kid.
You see there were five tickets, five kids all with different character flaws, that we as kids NEVER wanted to be associated with. There are so many lessons that can be learned (if you can get passed the old school movie making.) Here they are:
- Augustus Gloop is obviously gluttony. He has no self-control, this character's insatiable appetite is matched only by his disregard for manner or personal hygiene. His single-minded obsession with food results in dangerous consequences when he greedily disregards Wonka's warnings inside the factory. His untimely exit from the tour, after being sucked into a chocolate river, serves as a potent reminder of the perils of unchecked indulgence.
**Oompa Loompa, do-ba-dee-doo,
I've got a perfect puzzle for you.
Oompa Loompa, do-ba-dee-dee,
If you are wise you'll listen to me.
What do you get when you guzzle down sweets?
Eating as much as an elephant eats.
What are you at getting terribly fat?
What do you think will come of that?
I don't like the look of it
Oompa Loompa do-ba-dee-da,
If you're not greedy you will go far.
You will live in happiness too,
Like the oompa loompa do-ba-dee-doo.
Do-ba-dee-doo
- Violet Beauregard - pride
This character relentlessly strives to be the best at everything, often at the expense of her own well-being and relationships. Her compulsive gum-chewing habit and propensity to push boundaries manifest themselves during the factory tour when she brashly chews an experimental gum against Wonka's advice. Her unchecked ambition ultimately turns her into a giant blueberry, underscoring the dangers of excess and a relentless pursuit of success without considering the consequences.
**Oompa Loompa, do-ba-dee-doo,
I've got another puzzle for you.
Oompa Loompa, do-ba-da-dee,
If you are wise you'll listen to me.
Gum chewing's fine when it's once in a while.
It stops you from smoking and brightens your smile.
But it's repulsive revolting and wrong.
Chewing and chewing all day long.
The way that a cow does
Oompa Loompa do-ba-dee-da,
Given good manners you will go far.
You will live in happiness too,
Like the oompa loompa do-ba-dee-doo.
- Veruca Salt is greed. She doesn't care how she gets what she wants as long as she gets it. Her impatient and impulsive nature ultimately leads to her downfall as she defiantly disobeys Wonka's rules, culminating in a cautionary tale about the dangers of unchecked entitlement and desire.
**Oompa Loompa doompadee doo
I've got another puzzle for you
Oompa Loompa doompadee dee
If you are wise you will listen to me
Who do you blame when your kid is a brat
Pampered and spoiled like a Siamese cat?
Blaming the kids is a lie and a shame
You know exactly who's to blame:
The mother and the father!
Oompa Loompa doompadee dah
If you're not spoiled then you will go far
You will live in happiness too
Like the Oompa Loompa doompadee do
- Mike Teevee being a sloth
A character who represents the pitfalls of excessive television consumption and technological obsession, he is utterly disinterested in the world around him unless it involves screens. During the factory tour, his fixation on shrinking technology leads him to recklessly experiment with Wonka's inventions, sealing his fate when he shrinks himself down to size. His predicament offers a stark warning about the dangers of becoming consumed by technology to the detriment of meaningful human experiences.
**Oompa Loompa doompadee doo
I've got another puzzle for you
Oompa Loompa doompa dah dee
If you are wise you'll listen to me
What do you get from a glut of TV?
A pain in the neck and an IQ of three
Why don't you try simply reading a book?
Or could you just not bear to look?
You'll get no
You'll get no
You'll get no
You'll get no
You'll get no commercials
Oompa Loompa Doompadee Dah
If you're not greedy you will go far
You will live in happiness too
Like the Oompa
Oompa Loompa doompadee do (doompadee do)
- Arthur Slugworth
Portrayed as the nefarious rival of Willy Wonka, this character lures children with the promise of riches in exchange for stealing one of Wonka's secret recipes. His treacherous nature and Machiavellian tactics serve as a foil to the whimsical, enigmatic Wonka, adding an element of intrigue and deception to the story. However, it is later revealed that he was an undercover employee of Wonka's all along, testing the children's integrity and loyalty through temptation.
Grandpa Joe
A lively and wise patriarch of the Bucket family, this character encourages Charlie's dreams and never hesitates to speak his mind. Despite his age and disability, he displays a youthful exuberance and spirit that ultimately serve as an indispensable moral compass throughout the factory tour. His unwavering faith in Charlie and ability to see through Wonka's eccentricities culminate in an invaluable life lesson for his young grandson.
- And then there is Charlie Bucket:
A kind-hearted, honest, and humble protagonist who is the embodiment of pure innocence, this character cherishes the rare moments of happiness with his impoverished family. Despite their struggles, he never lets go of his dreams of adventure, eventually finding hope when he discovers a golden ticket to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. The character's innate goodness and strong moral compass ultimately earn him the keys to the coveted chocolate factory, as he passes each of Wonka's tests, proving that genuine character triumphs over wealth and privilege.
Now we live in a world where most of the parenting isn't really there. Our kids are taught from everywhere they go, that their life's should only be about them. Me, me, me, I want it, I need it, I want a golden goose Daddy. It is very sad. The pure innocence they were born with has withered away. Most have never grown up in impoverment or even know that their family struggles. I knew growing up. I was also taught to be kind, honest, humble and how to work hard for everything that I ever wanted. Our kids and grandchildren need to be taught these traits. And for those parents, who work tirelessly to teach their children right from wrong, how to behave and treat others, I applaud you. Keep up the good, hard work.
You got this. I believe in you.
**Joke of the day:
Why was the snowman looking through the carrots?
He was picking his nose!
What did the gingerbread man put on his bed?
A cookie sheet!

Wednesday Dec 20, 2023
Today is Friday December 15th, on today's show:
**I like to start the show with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!
Today's word of the day is " blessed, blessing "
//: The word “blessed” is an adjective that means holy, happy, or fortunate, I am going to speak about the happy and fortunate
**Quote of the day:
"Reflect upon your present blessings, present blessings, of which every man has plenty; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some." - Charles Dickens
Do you believe you are blessed? Do you notice the abundance of blessing you do have in life or only see the bad?
Those can be hard questions especially if you happen to be going through a not so great time in your life.
Being blessed or some might say "lucky" can mean having good fortune, experiencing a sense of well-being, and simply recognizing and appreciating the positive parts of our lives.
To really recognize your blessings, you have to practice gratitude. Blessings and gratitude should go hand and hand.
When you make a conscious effort to focus on what you have rather than what you lack, it can open up a whole new world of happiness.
By practicing gratitude, you can learn to recognize and appreciate the blessings in your life both big and small. AND when you focus on what you have instead of what you don't, you open up a world of abundance and possibilities.
Gratitude takes a simple shift in your mindset. You just have to continually practice it in your life. Notice the positive things, and you'll feel positive. Notice the joys, and you'll feel joyous. Noticing the goodness in your lives, and you have more things to look forward too.
You might start your day with negative emotions, but choosing to be grateful can help you in many ways. It can help you love your life even at your lowest.
Try a gratitude journal or just a list of things in your life you are grateful for. Because sometimes it is not always easy to see what is right in front of you. Recognize that you are never alone, you have enough and you are enough.
The quote of the day mentions, "not on your past misfortunes," This is a huge way to look back on ALL you have overcome. Example: while packing I have found countless, foot, leg, knee's and back braces from different trials I have been through. Remembering that when I was going through them, I did not believe I would make it. Your overwhelmed, sad, in pain, stressed and you don't think you will get through it. Look back on those times and see how far you have come.
There are plenty of benefits as to why you should be more grateful of your life, being more aware of the positive things instead of the negative will enhance one of the most important relationships in your life…YOURS!
You got this! I believe in you!

Today is Monday December 11th, on today's show:
Bamm Bamm joined me as we discussed a little about Nikola Tesla.
**I like to start the show with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!
Today's word of the day is " encourage, encouragement, encouraging "
//: give support, confidence, or hope to
**Quote of the day:
"Be encouraging to all you meet. You never know who is having a hard day."
"A word of encouragement during a failure is worth more than an hour of praise after success."
What does it mean to encourage? What are some characteristics of an encourager.
To be encouraging means to provide support, motivation or inspiration to someone. Anyone can do it. It can be in different forms: like words of encouragement, actions and empowerment.
When you encourage someone you are helping them overcome obstacles, achieve their goals, and improve their well-being.
And just like the word of the day on Wednesday, SUPPORTIVE, being a person who is a great encourager knows how to listen. They are constantly seeking to understand you instead of talking. They stand by you in your failures and fears as much as they are during the good times.
An encouraging person shows a real love and concern for others. They often have a sense that something might be robbing you of your joy and happiness. Some are blessed with that sense, I believe I have it, I just need to pay attention to it lately.
Encouragers are prayerful problem-solvers and will always try to pursue positive change in you. They want you to be your best you.
Encouragers are ones that inspire others through there positivity.
They show up, when others gang up with the hopes of knocking you out of the race. They never leave.
They are that person who you can trust when darkness has become a part of your life. They lift you up, encourage and remind you of your past victories and all you have overcome. They are your cheerleader.
The encourager not only assists others but in doing so, builds an army of friends along the way to encourage himself later. It is a gift that keeps on giving.
So encourage, remind them that they are not alone, ask them how you can help, give them a huge hug and remind them that it is Love that heals.
You got this, I believe in you!!

Today's is December 6th, on today's show:
**I like to start the show with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!
Today's word of the day is " supportive "
//: providing encouragement or emotional help
**Quote of the day:
"Sometimes we need someone to simply be there. Not to fix anything, or not to do anything in particular, but just to let us feel that we are cared and supported. "
"People don't always need advice. Sometimes all they really need is a hand to hold, an er to listen, and a heart to understand them."
"You don't need a reason to help people."
ARE YOU A SUPPORTIVE PERSON?
When you are struggling in life, all you want is to not feel alone and have is a supportive ear or shoulder pad to cry on. Being supportive comes in many different forms, just like the relationships that might need it.
Being supportive means being kind and helpful to someone during a difficult or unhappy time in their life.
It involves offering genuine encouragement, reassurance, and compassion with an open mind an no judgement.
Having a supportive friend or group that builds people up during times of stress, gives them the strength to get through whatever they might be dealing with so they can thrive.
Once again, we are all different and need different types of support at different times in our lives. Some of us lean more towards certain types of support.
It helps to know what type of support is needed in the situation/person. Example: Giving someone advice when what they really want and need is someone to just listen, can come across as invalidating.
So learn to ASK for what type of support you need. You might start the conversation by saying something like, " I just need to vent - do you have any time? It is not fair to think people can read your mind and know what you might need.
You might need an empathic friend to talk too. Or you might actually need advice. Or even speaking to a therapist or life coach is different.
- Sometimes we need someone to show us care and compassion
- Other times we need someone to hype us up
- We need advice or a person who can take action and literally help us with something we can't do on our own.
Knowing you have the support of others and having people you can count on can help shield you from stress and protect your emotional and physical well-being.
Remember to keep in mind that there is no "one" way to be supportive, but there are a few tips you can start with if you are supportive challenged:
- Learn to leave your opinions at the door - It is normal to have "opinions" about others. But when someone comes to you for support, it is best to zip it, open your ears and have a nice pair of shoulder pads on! Of course if they want your advice, that is a different story, otherwise close your mouth!
- A very valuable skill to master is active/empathetic listener - Really listen. Maintain eye contact while they are speaking to you. Avoid interrupting. Paraphrase what they shared and repeat it back to them so to clarify what you have heard. (I had a therapist teach me that one.)
- If you do not know how to support that person in their situation, try asking them what they might need from you.
Sometimes all we need is someone to acknowledge the existence of our suffering to feel better. We want someone to try to understand our feelings even if they don't necessarily agree with them.
More often than not we turn to someone as a sounding board rather than advice. But, too often we skip this essential step of being supportive and dive straight into problem-solving.
Remember, offering emotional support typically involves asking questions, listening and then providing validation and the type of support a person needs. It is important to be patient, understanding, and non-judgmental.
YOU GOT THIS!! I BELIEVE IN YOU!

Cheerful-sounding bubble tea—also called pearl milk tea, boba milk tea, or just boba—is tea mixed with milk or fruit and topped with tapioca pearls. According to the tea gurus at Kung Fu Tea, a franchise chain with more than 250 locations around the United States, boba was invented in Taiwan during the decade of big hair, neon leg warmers, and a dozen John Hughes movies: the ’80s. By the early ’90s, boba made its way to North America.

Staring Christian Slater as Mark Hunter,

Wednesday Fun Day - Start your day with a little sugar! 😁❤️💕#202
Wednesday Nov 29, 2023
Wednesday Nov 29, 2023
Today is Wednesday, November 29th, on today's show:
**I like to start the show with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!
Today's word of the day is " obstacles "
//: a thing that blocks one's way or prevents or hinders progress:
**Quote of the day:
"Obstacles are in your way to see if what you want is really worth fighting for." -
"There are no limits, only obstacles, and any obstacle can be overcome." - David Belle
OBSTACLES - Overcoming those blocks in the road.
Overcoming obstacles in life requires resilience and the ability to successfully navigate through the challenges that come your way in order to achieve your goals. It is important to understand that obstacles are a natural part of life and everyone faces them at some point.
They can be anything that stands in the way of your progress, such as a lack of resources, personal limitations, or external factors. It is how you react to these obstacles that can make all the difference in your success. For some people it is time to sulk, to have self pitty, and that is ok, to a point. It’s important to still feel your feelings
you just cannot stay in that victim mentality for too long.
The way you look at your obstacles can affect how you react to them. If you think that you cannot succeed because of this or that, then you are likely to be overwhelmed with painful thoughts and difficult emotions when faced with blocks to your goals.
But if you see these obstacles as an opportunity for growth, you can learn from them and become stronger.
You have to learn to not dwell on what is out of your hands and accepting what you cannot control. Do not allow the slightest little set back hold you back from becoming your best self. Have a little faith in yourself and your capabilities.
Are you facing an obstacle right now?
Don't sit there and wait for too long. Take a step back and analyze your work and make a plan. And most of all, be "THANKFUL" for whatever you have in life. Never forget most people wish for what you have, not knowing the difficulties you may have had to go through to get there.
You got this! I believe in you!!
**Joke of the day:
What did one math book say to the other? “I’ve got so many problems.”
**Count Down to Christmas-
