Back at it Wednesday - Start your day with a little sugar‼️😁❤️💕#128
Wednesday May 17, 2023
Wednesday May 17, 2023
Today is Wednesday, May 17th.
Today's word of the day is "in-vin-ci-ble "
//: too powerful to be defeated or overcome:
**Quote of the day:
"Being a hero doesn't mean you're invincible. It just means that you're brave enough to stand up and do what's needed." - Rick Riordan
“Invincible thinking is a powerful attitude that enables us to triumph under any circumstance,” “It helps us learn from both success and failures, and grow into capable and exceptional humans. Invincible thinking embraces the philosophy of positive thinking and principle of self-reflection, which together help us shape our future, as we face all the circumstances life brings.”
We become the person we think we are, so the key to becoming invincible is removing negative self-talk and limiting internalized images of the self that keep us from becoming the person we want to become. “You are what you think,” “The problem is often that our minds are stuck in the past, and past failures remain strong in our thoughts. Be kind to yourself, learn from your failures and move on.
So, monitor your thoughts. Grab hold of that inner critic when s/he surfaces and identify your negative self-images and where they come from.
Whatever the limiting belief, write it down and realize it’s not the truth of who you are now. It’s just a past story blocking you.
By making concrete efforts to identify your negative self-beliefs and stories and go beyond them on a day-to-day basis, be assured that you will make steady progress to discovering your invincible self.

Friday May 12, 2023
Today is Friday, May 12th.
I am going to start of the day with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!
Today's word of the day is " self·less "
//: concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with one's own; unselfish:
**Quote of the day:
"There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others." - Mandy Hale
Today’s world seems to function with a mixture of self-absorption, self-promotion, and downright selfishness, with a sprinkling of compassion and generosity. Unfortunately, it should be the other way around, but we can all do our part to make important change.
If you haven’t noticed, we live in a very impatient world; we can get anything we want with the click of a button or the swipe of our finger. We live in an instant gratification age, furthering the selfishness we see today. We have an entitled mindset, generally believing we should always come first.
But the Golden Rule still applies today. One of the best ways to increase selflessness in today’s world is to simply treat others with kindness, just like we would want from others.
Not only will it make you feel great to extend kindness to other people, but it will also improve their lives. Think about it – what if you smiled at a stranger today? This would encourage them to smile and might even change their outlook on the world as well. Ripples create waves, so remember when you go out in public and notice other people who look worried or stressed, just smile.
When you take the time to be selfless around other people, you will find that your impact on the world becomes magnified. Therefore, take a few minutes and think about ways you can be selfless when you are surrounded by selfish people.
Be Kind, rewind, ha wanted to see if you were listening!

It’s Hump Day Y’all - Start your day with a little sugar!!😁❤️💕 #126
Friday May 12, 2023
Friday May 12, 2023
Today is Wednesday, May 10th.
I am going to start of the day with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!
Today's word of the day is " genuine "
//: truly what something is said to be; authentic: sincere
**Quote of the day:
"Genuine people don't come around too often. So if you find somebody real enough to stay true, keep them close."
In these days we live in with social media, people spending significant amounts of time trying to find the most share-worthy photo to post, or posting descriptions of themselves online dating sites that are clearly not true. Why are we trying so hard to get others to like us instead of being true to ourselves?
Genuine means actual, real or true, and not false or fake. It can be used to describe something that is authentic or not a copy or substitute. It can also describe someone or something that is sincere and free from pretense of
af-fec-ta-tion.
We tend to value "genuine" people and think poorly of those whom we perceive as being "fake"— After all, what motivates "fakeness" is an effort to appear more appealing or impressive then one really is.
Real genuine people
aren’t driven by ego. Likewise, they don’t seek the limelight or try to take credit for other people’s accomplishments. They simply do what needs to be done without saying, “Hey, look at me!”
They don’t brag. Genuine people don’t need to brag. They’re confident in their accomplishments, but they also realize that when you truly do something that matters, it stands on its own merits, regardless of how many people notice or appreciate it.
They aren’t hypocrites. Genuine people practice what they preach. They don’t tell you to do one thing and then do the opposite themselves.
People gravitate toward those who are genuine because they know they can trust them.
In this harsh, cruel world, there are very few people who brew kindness and love. Genuine people are rare to find. With their presence, their love, and deeds, genuine people render beauty to this world.
Let's be better and add some beauty to this world!

Monday May 08, 2023
Today is Monday May 8th.
I am going to start of the day with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!
Today's word of the day is " resilience "
//: the capacity to withstand or to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness:
**Quote of the day:
"Behind every strong person, there is a story that gave them no choice!"
Resilience.
We have all struggled with personal trauma, Death of a loved one, Divorce, Financial issues, Illness, Job loss, Medical emergencies, Natural disasters, the only difference is how we handle them.
A person with resilience qualities, instead of falling into despair, will face life's difficulties head-on.
People with resilience do not experience less grief, or anxiety than other people do, Instead, they use healthy coping skills to handle such difficulties in ways that foster strength and growth, often emerging stronger than they were before.
People who possess this quality do not see life through rose-colored lenses. They understand that setbacks happen and that sometimes life is hard and painful. They still experience the negative emotions that come after a tragedy, but their mental outlook allows them to work through these feelings and recover.
While some people tend to be more naturally resilient, it is also a skill that can be strengthened. Looking at situations in more positive ways, getting support from others, and focusing on what can be controlled are helpful strategies. It's ok to struggle with personal trauma, but just do not stay there. Exercise that resilience muscle. Pick yourself up, do not be the victim, do the work and become STRONGER because of all the work you've done to pick yourself up out of that hole. Love yourself…you are worth it!!

Friday May 05, 2023
Today is Friday, May 5th.
I am going to start of the day with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!
Today's word of the day is " Authentic "
//: genuine: accurate or reliable:
**Quote of the day:
"Some people go through extreme measures to get noticed, but when you're authentic, all you have to do is arrive.” Anonymous
What actually constitutes a truly authentic person?
Being an authentic person is a lifelong process. It takes growth, healing and loving ourselves and more for us to become who we truly are.
An authentic person doesn't just mean having the integrity to stay exactly who you are, but this also means that you don't bother hiding parts of yourself to others.
Standing up for everything you believe in, including your beliefs and morals.
Not needing the approval of others, and you're more afraid of compromising the essence of who you are for the comfort of everyone else. This also means speaking your voice when necessary and standing your ground.
They don't blame other people for what happens to them in their lives. They take personal responsibility for how they're actions created a certain outcome. They are willing to look at how they influenced each and every situation and act accordingly.
They love themselves. They see themselves as a person of value who deserves love, kindness and support.
They are willing to see and acknowledge their own faults
They love themselves.
They see themselves as a person of value who deserves love, kindness and support. They provide themselves with adequate care to support their own health and well-being.
They express their true thoughts, feelings and views unapologetically.
They don't say things that they don't truly mean. They don't do things that they don't really want to do. And They are able to share their own unique thoughts, feelings and views without fear of other's opinions.
Being Authentic
So let go of anyone else's opinion of you, be proud and follow your own path. People who truly love you will accept you on your path of authenticity.

- Cinco de Mayo
Let’s start by clearing the biggest misconception: No, Cinco de Mayo is not the Mexican Independence Day. But, that does not mean it’s less important or notable than it actually is, for the history behind it dawns on the importance of the landscape of North America as a whole.
An economically struggling Mexico was intervened by the French for the second time, who had the hopes to gain control of the Latin American country under the rule of Napoleon III. The French General, Charles de Lorencez, directed his army towards the capital of Mexico City, with the intent to overthrow the president of Mexico, Benito Juarez.
But things didn’t go as planned, as they encountered heavy resistance, culminating at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Even if their forces had half the numbers of their opponents, the Mexican Army, led by Ignacio Zaragoza, managed to successfully win over the French army at Puebla, a city just 70 miles from Mexico City. Four days later, on May 9, Juárez declared Cinco de Mayo a national holiday.
**Fact of the day:
Chemist Insists Eating One Specific Food Helps Rid the Body of Parasites:
If you have a fearful reaction to the word parasites, don't worry. You are not alone!
one way to minimize the presence of parasites in your body is to consume one tiny food: walnuts. Why?
Walnuts contain a natural molecule called juglone, which is non toxic to humans and is a natural herbicide. Walnuts also contain a high content of tannin, also called tannic acid, which is a group of phenolic compounds. The combination of juglone and tannins are believed to assist the body in removing microbes from the large intestine, acting as a laxative.
(Tannin is also responsible for the sometimes bitter taste of walnuts. If you are not a huge fan, a tip is to soak the nuts before eating to purge them of the tannins. This can also help with digesting the nut if you have a sensitive stomach.)
Besides containing these anti-parasitic properties, walnuts also promote healthy digestion and the health of your gastrointestinal system! Honestly a win-win over all.

- Tomorrow is Alexis bday so I want to say Happy Birthday Alexis this song is for you.
I am going to start of the day with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go! Play Song
This word might have already been on my list, but I feel it necessary to do again,
Today's word of the day is " compassion or compassionate "
//: sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others;
//: feeling or showing sympathy and concern for others:
**Quote of the day:
"Never define yourself by your relationship status, your income or your looks. It's your generosity, kindness and compassion that counts." - Brigitte Nicole
When you practice compassion, you start by empathizing with another person's situation. You look at what they are going through without judgment and imagine how you might feel in their situation.
Rather than just imagining yourself in their shoes, compassion drives you to take action to help that person. Because you are able to feel those emotions so keenly—almost as if it is happening to you—there is a strong motivation to find a way to change the situation or ease the other person's pain
- creating meaningful existence
- promoting peace
- encouraging kindness
- fostering understanding
Not everyone is compassionate. But compassion is considered to be like a muscle that, as any other, can be strengthened with relevant exercises—or can deteriorate and atrophy. In other words, your capacity for compassion can expand, if you choose.
So try:
Speaking with kindness
Apologize when you've made a mistake
Listen carefully and without judgment
Encourage other people
Offer to help someone with a task
Be happy for someone else's success
Accept people for who they are
Show respect
Express gratitude and appreciation
Be patient
Strengthen your compassion muscle!!

Today is Monday May 1st.
I am going to start of the day with the word of the day & quote of the day. A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IN A WORLD OF HATE, Let's go!
Today's word of the day is
" greatness "
I am talking greatness in the form of a person.
//: the quality of being great; considerably above the normal or average:
**Quote of the day:
"The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively." - Bob Marley
Greatness, just like integrity, & excellence seems to be less of a value people want to achieve in their lives anymore. What is greatness?
Greatness is the quality that radiates from the inside out when someone is honoring their values and living a life of purpose.
Your greatness is not the values that society imposes upon you. It’s not what your culture or family or peer group tells you that you should go after.
True greatness is fully utilizing the gifts you’ve been given; and actualizing and fulfilling your unique purpose.
On my journey to discovering my gifts, talents ect… I have come across a lot of motivating leaders, one being Lewis Howes. Of course he has a podcast, The School of Greatness Academy, along with a new book with the same name. He said what he believes greatness is, here it is:
"Greatness is when you're going on a journey to discover your unique gifts & talents. While On that path of discovery & figuring out what your dreams are, you make the maximum positive impact on the people around you." - Lewis Howe
That is my personal goal in life.

A little encouragement in a world of hate, Let's go!!
Today's word of the day
"extraordinary"
//: very unusual or remarkable
Quote of the day
"Extraordinary people survive under the most terrible circumstances & they become more extraordinary because of it." - Robertson Davies
Being extraordinary isn’t reserved for the rich, the famous, the powerful, or the privileged. Extraordinary people exist within even the most ordinary lives.
We can all name extraordinary people who have touched us—a teacher who made us feel seen, a relative who helped us believe in our dreams, a friend who created a circle of acceptance wide enough for all.
Extraordinary people lives are likely to:
A focus on the things that matter:
The extraordinary ordinary people seem to know instinctively the folly of joining the crowd on the hamster wheel. Instead, they are content to keep their focus on “being” rather than “having.”
Extraordinary people know Kindness matters:
We all know people like this. They are special because they have the gift of making others feel special. And the nice thing about kindness is it works both ways. It’s lovely to be on the receiving end, but multiple studies confirm it feels even nicer to do kind things for others.
Extraordinary people are willing to be seen as imperfect
This is a quote from Brené Brown, Ph.D., :
“When we spend our lives waiting until we’re perfect or bulletproof before we walk into the arena, we ultimately sacrifice relationships and opportunities that may not be recoverable, we squander our precious time, and we turn our backs on our gifts, those unique contributions that only we can make.” all because we are afraid to make a mistake
Extraordinary people have the ability to connect:
Extraordinary people understand this; that’s why they make others a priority. They are the ones who remember our names, ask us questions and care about the answers, and leave us feeling heard and valued.
I know y'all have the ability to be more extraordinary. Just do not let this world get to ya and change you. Remember, The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just being a little extra.
Be extraordinary!!
