Today's word of the day is " community "

"Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community.'
I spoke about having a tribe, community is kind of similar but just as important. This is what community is not. A community is not just a bunch of yes people.
Being a part of a community means having a sense of trust, belonging, safety, and caring for each other. It also means sharing common interests, values, and aspirations with other people.
Strong communities are important because they're give us a sense of belonging. There was a study of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and it showed that loneliness was one of the factors with the greatest impact on people's health.
Ultimately, communities give people a supportive group to help them cope with the difficult challenges life throws at you. You can band together to solve problems and celebrate life's happy moments.
When we have feeling of isolation, anxiety and depression, seeking meaningful connections to help them cope -- and that is one of the most important functions a communities perform.
There’s never been a more crucial time to be there for others who are struggling with their mental and physical health than right now, with all the pressure in the fast-paced world we live in.
BUT you do need to be careful about who you let in:
- Be wary of those who constantly complain without seeking solutions
- If someone disrespects you, they don’t belong in your inner circle
- If you’ve outgrown your friends or taken a more mature path in life, it’s essential to reevaluate your friendships
- Drama Seekers: They thrive on attention and drama, often at the expense of your time and energy
Remember, it’s not about the length of time you’ve known someone; it’s about the quality of the connection and the positive vibes they bring into your life. Choose wisel
You got this, I believe in you.

"Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful." - Joshua J. Marino
To face challenges means to encounter situations or problems that require significant mental or physical effort to overcome successfully. These challenges put our abilities to the test, pushing us to find solutions, adapt, and persevere and life is full of them. We need to learn to embrace these challenges and look at them as opportunities for growth & transformation. It is essential to achieve our goals both professionally and personally. They help us learn, grow, and develop new skills that can be applied in all aspects of life.
You have to change your mindset in order to take these challenges head on. There are two mindsets. Fixed which see's challenges as a threat and avoids them and Growth mindset which sees challenges as an opportunity to grow. When you are able to shift your mindset to the later, you look at challenges differently.
So try to embrace every challenge that comes your way and learn as much as you can along the way.
Ok let's listen to this:

Today is March 27th, on today's show:
**I like to start the show with the word of the day & quote of the day. Spreading knowledge is a powerful way of adding value to the world.
So let's go!
Today's word of the day is "procrastinate/procrastination"
//: delay or postpone action; put off doing something:
**Quote of the day:

"Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is heavy." - Mr. Wayne Gretzky
Procrastinate or procrastination
You have a plan. You know exactly the steps to take to start a life-changing, you want to lose weight, you want to evolve or you want to make six-figures, and yet… you can't seem to get yourself moving. You simply can't stop procrastinating.
Putting off doing thing we do not enjoy is common, despite potentially negative consequences.
No matter how organized or committed you are, chances are that you have found yourself wasting away hours of your days on watching TV, scrolling on social media etc., when you should have been spending that time on the items you are putting off!
Procrastination doesn't do anyone any favors. It can create problems beginning in your early years, when you first start delaying until adulthood. Putting things off you eventually do anyway, ends up taking more energy, time and doesn't stop you from thinking or worrying about them, either. So see, you put it off, for whatever reason, end up worrying about it, then rushing to catch up or finish OR feel bad that you never started.
A good place to start is to acknowledge that you're procrastinating. Once you recognize this behavior in yourself, you can figure out what's causing you to procrastinate and change it.
Before you throw in the towel, hear me out. Regardless of the goal you're trying to achieve, you have the power to stop procrastinating. Procrastination can be unlearned.
No one is born with perfect motivation. What separates successful individuals from those who never do anything about their dreams is that the former know how to get moving and let their momentum guide them to where they want to go.
You want to go to the gym but you postpone joining one because “something” happens, so you never start and your goal of losing weight never gets checked off your list.
You want to start getting clients, but you can’t find the time to cold call prospects, so your business never grows and stays a dream forever.
Weight loss or getting fit, for example is almost NEVER easy, and for many us we procrastinate.
How many times have you caught yourself thinking something like this:
- "It's been a long day. I'll try to squeeze in a workout tomorrow."
- "Well, I've been meaning to go to the doctors for that. I'll make an appointment soon."
- "I know I need to eat better, I will start on Monday so I can start the week right."
And so on and on.
If you see procrastination is getting in your way of reaching your health goals, consider these tips.
- 1st off you need to make sure that your "to do" list is not out of wack and your goals should be "SMART" goals, I know I have talked about 'SMART' goals before: Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-based. Try taking small steps at a time toward your smaller goals until some of your bigger goals are reached.
- Focus on your "why"
Think about the reason you started this journey in the first place. Maybe you want to be more active in playing with your grandchildren, or you want more energy to get through your day.
- Reward yourself for positive behavior
You do not need to reward yourself with food, treat yourself to a new piece of clothing, a book etc.
- Break down your tasks
Example: I am training for the step climb, and it is 1,998 stairs. My goal was/is to do at least 20 floor or stairs a day, minimum. Every day I try do more and more.
- Keep track of how you spend your time
Keep a journal to track how you spend your time. That way, you can stay accountable with yourself and recognize your habits.
Procrastination can be a difficult habit to break. But by setting the SMART goals, you can tackle procrastination and become more productive. It may take time and effort to adjust your behavior, but it will be worth it in the long run.
And remember to be kind and understanding to yourself as you progress toward your goals. At the end of the day, it’s all about taking one step at a time and never giving up.
You got this, I believe in you!!

WOTD - "sacrifice" -Start your day with Dena Jo!😁💕❤️#258

Friday Mar 29, 2024
Today's is March 25th, on today's show:
Today's word of the day is "sacrifice" as in "making sacrifices"
//: something valuable that you give up in order to achieve something, or the act of giving it up
**Quote of the day:

“Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness.” -Napoleon Hill
What does it mean to "making sacrifices?"
Making sacrifices on the path to success is an essential concept. It involves giving up something valuable in the present with the hope of achieving something even better in the future.
Pursuing success means sacrificing time, money, comfort, relationships, and even personal desires because you know there is something greater out there. It may seem daunting and overwhelming at first, but it’s essential to achieve any form of success.
- It forces you to prioritize
- It builds discipline and resilience
- It fuels motivation and determination
- It teaches the value of hard work
Instant gratification is the true epidemic of our time. We want everything now, instantly. But the things that truly matter and lead to long-term success require time and sacrifice. Delaying gratification is crucial for success because instant gratification fosters weakness and powerlessness. The more you sacrifice, the more powerful and capable you become.
Sacrificing constantly and consistently is hard. I I get it. I’ve been there, I am there. Days, months, and even years of wading through doubt and uncertainty with the question, “Is this going to work out?” constantly running through your mind. There will be moments when you want to give up and question if it’s all worth it.
In those moments, remind yourself of your goals and why you started this journey. Look for sources of motivation and inspiration, whether reading success stories or talking with a mentor or loved one. And remember, every sacrifice is bringing you closer to your ultimate goal.
My friend and mentor, Brian Ford has said, "You have to remember that where you are right now, is where you had hoped to be at one time. "

WOTD - "Discipline" - Start your day with DJ‼️😍💕❤️#257
Friday Mar 22, 2024
Friday Mar 22, 2024
Today is March 22nd, on today's show:
Ahron is back from his hiatus!! We spoke sports and Bamm Bamm & BP both joined us on the panel! Love my family!!
This morning we talked about discipline.
Today's word of the day is "discipline"
//: a branch of knowledge, typically one studied in higher education:
**Quote of the day:

“Discipline is choosing between what you want now, and what you want most.” – Abraham Lincoln
"Discipline is rarely enjoyable, but almost always profitable." - Darrin Patrick
Discipline
The definition of discipline is making yourself do something when you could be doing something more pleasant, like sleeping in for hours instead of getting up and exercising every morning.
It is a set of rules which are to be followed while trying to achieve important goals.
Discipline is the difference between talking and doing. It's being able to set goals and actually going for them while not forgetting about everything else that's on your plate as well.
It is about being able to be consistent and persistent in the face of challenges and failures!
AND most importantly it's about replacing bad habits with better ones.
It requires us to be self-aware and be able to regulate our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors instead of letting ourselves be controlled by them. Disciplined people are aware of their feelings, what triggers them, and how to manage those feelings to be able to achieve your goals.
It’s not easy to be disciplined or sticking to a plan, but if you can start with even one of these stagies and start by making it a habit for a month. Then pick another and repeat the process.
You got this, I believe in you!!
