WOTD - Vulnerability - Start your day with DJ‼️😁💕❤️#246
Wednesday Mar 06, 2024
Wednesday Mar 06, 2024
Today is March 1st, 2024, on today's show:
**Quote of the day:

"To be vulnerable is to be courageous, for vulnerability stands defiantly in the face of fear, accepting the uncertainty of possible attack or compromise." - Aletheia Luna
Vulnerability - Why it is important
It doesn't sound fun does it? Being vulnerable. It involves a willingness to accept the emotional risk that comes from being open & willing to love & be loved. It is well worth the effort.
Author Brene' Brown (she is all everywhere, youtube etc.) suggests that vulnerability is an important measure of COURAGE and that it allows you to be seen and understood by the people who are important in your life. She adds, that it serves as a way to be more authentic.
But so many fear vulnerability, why, if it is a good thing? It is associated with a number of challenging emotional states, like : disappointment, shame and grief. The fear of rejection and fear of abandonment are also related to vulnerability.
The truth about vulnerability is that it is not a weakness; it is in fact a strength. We need to embrace it knowing that it will make our lives more full in the long run. Think about it. Saying I love you to someone is being vulnerable. So is trying something new, or sharing a difficult experience, all are you being vulnerable. While at first you want to avoid all of these things, they can actually be extremely rewarding. Ultimately, it is living a genuinely fulfilling life.
The emotional benefits of being vulnerable are:
- Greater strength: When you put yourself in situations where you feel vulnerable, it will boost your confidence and belief in your ability to handle challenging situations. (resilient)
- Stronger relationships: It helps deepen your compassion, empathy and connection with others in your life.
- Improved SELF-acceptance: It allows you to accept and embrace different aspects of yourself and build greater confidence.
Break time from talking and let's listen to this:
To share your weakness is to make yourself vulnerable; to make yourself vulnerable is to show your strength."
You got this…I believe in you.

WOTD - "bullying" - Start your day with DJ‼️😁💕❤️#245
Thursday Feb 29, 2024
Thursday Feb 29, 2024
Today is Wednesday February 28th, on today's show:
**I like to start the show with the word of the day & quote of the day. Spreading knowledge is a powerful way of adding value to the world.
So, let's go!
Since it is Pink Shirt Day in Canada - Stand against bullying
Today's word of the day is " bullying. "
//: a person who habitually seeks to harm or intimidate those whom they perceive as vulnerable:
**Quote of the day:

“Bullying happens because weak people need to prop up their ego by beating up or humiliating others.” - Bruce Dickinson
A bully is a blustering, mean, or predatory person who, from a perceived position of relative power, intimidates, abuses, harasses, or coerces people, especially if they think the person, they are bullying is unlikely to defend themselves.
It is a distinctive pattern of repeatedly and deliberately harming or humiliating another. Trying to damage or manipulate the relationship of others, such as spreading rumors, or social exclusion. I have some assholes who are trying their hardest at this.
They’re often popular, charismatic, and sometimes even have cult-followings. They seem able to turn off and turn on their cruel conduct so that only victims are targeted, while other people are treated with kindness. Example: Just like a child who is bullying someone, can cover up their harmful behavior when adults are present. That is what I am talking about!
Try to remember that people bully because it can be an effective way for them to get what they want, well at least for the short term. They lack social skills to do anything without harming others. They have learned that bullying is a way of establishing dominance. Usually, they continue to get away with their poor behavior, usually because now a days, others will not speak up. For that reason, bullying carries the implicit message that aggression, intimidation, or violence is acceptable solutions to their problems when they are not.
BUT one of the most effective ways to stop bullying, is to be a bystander who does NOT reward bullies with their support or attention. Yeah that bully might try to retaliate against you too, BUT the more who stand up to poor behavior, that bully will either stop or move on.
"I am going to take a break from talking and let's listen to this:
“When people hurt you over and over, think of them like sandpaper. They may scratch and hurt you a bit, but in the end, you end up POLISHED and they end up useless!” – anonymous
You got this…I believe in you.

WOTD - "togetherness" - Start your day with DJ‼️😁💕❤️#244
Monday Feb 26, 2024
Monday Feb 26, 2024
Today is February 26th, on today's show:
**I like to start the show with the word of the day & quote of the day. Spreading knowledge is a powerful way of adding value to the world.
So let's go
Today's word of the day is " togetherness "
//: the state of being close to another person or other peopl
**Quote of the day:

"Sometimes things fall apart so that better things can fall together."
"If you are going to gain anything in life, gain a friend, they will always be there, and that makes all the difference in the world."
The Importance of Togetherness
We all know that life can be a struggle, ups and downs, but we do not have to face it alone.
To progress in life, personally and professionally, we all need each other. We need to take the time to support one another, it is an essential part of us getting through the tough times and celebrating the victories.
Coming together is essential part of us all reaching our goals big or small.
We can achieve more together than we can separately. Because we each have gifts the others do not have. We each have gone through battles that maybe someone else has not.
When we are able to come together and share our experiences, we gain empathy and hopefully, understanding for one another.
Here are just a few ways to show love in times of struggle:
- Respect one another
Respect can be shown in many ways. Simply listening to someone or offering helpful advice.
- Lending a helping hand
Being able to help someone when they are struggling, whether it be an emotional situation, a physical task or help at work all show them you care.
- Offer kind words
Encouraging words or phrases can go a long way.
- Hugs - Self-explanatory
- Send a thoughtful note -
The act of taking the time to put pen to paper speaks volumes about how much you care for someone else.
The benefits of Togetherness
Support: When we come together as one, we are able to provide each other with support and comfort in times of struggle. It is reassuring to know that you have someone you can rely on and count on to lift your spirits up when things get tough.
Growth: Working together helps us to achieve our goals more effectively and efficiently. Through collaboration, we are able to brainstorm ideas, learn from each other’s mistakes, and grow our skills and knowledge together.
Happiness: Togetherness brings a feeling of happiness and contentment. It is easier to appreciate the small victories when we are surrounded by friends and family who understand what we are going through and can celebrate with us.
Strength: Togetherness gives us strength in numbers. We are no longer alone in our endeavors but rather surrounded by an entire group who can help us stay focused and motivated to reach our goals.
Unity: Lastly but most importantly, togetherness gives us a sense of unity and belonging. Knowing that we are all going through the same struggles allows us to form a bond that cannot be broken.

WOTD - "Believe" - It's Fri-YAY!! #243
Saturday Feb 24, 2024
Saturday Feb 24, 2024
Today is Fri-YAY February 23rd, on today's show:
I will talk about believe, as in believing in yourself. Also, so of what is trending, then straight into the music segment which will be artists and the songs they played at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967.
**I like to start the show with the word of the day & quote of the day. Spreading knowledge is a powerful way of adding value to the world.
So let's go!
Today's word of the day is "believe in yourself "
//: believing in yourself means having confidence in your own abilities.
**Quote of the day:

"Believe in you - Because your voice is important, because your dreams matter, because there is only one you, because you are worth it." - therandomvibez
Do you believe in yourself?
When we believe in ourselves, it can help us achieve our goals, manifest our dreams, and increase our well-being. But the flip side is also true. Lack of belief in ourselves means we are less likely to act, to change, or to push to make things better. In fact, when we expect we will fail, we are actually more likely to fail.
**Let's listen to this (Ben Lionel Scott)
Pretty much all my life, I did not believe I could do anything. I believed the crap people told be, instead of standing up and saying screw that, "I" am worth it. It doesn't matter what others have said and done, do not let it stop you. It is your life, It is your dreams, You got this…I believe in you.
Thank y'all for being my strength when I couldn't push through the hardship and pain. I love ya!
Your struggle made you the person who you are today. Let your struggle make you a LEGEND!

**Quote of the day:

"“Tough times don’t last, but tough people do.” — Robert H. Schuller
“When life unexpectedly knocks you down, make an unexpected comeback.” — Unknown
What is a comeback?
How do you turn an experience into a growth opportunity??
As I talked about on Monday, Life has a way of naturally pruning our lives for us through diagnoses, disasters, deaths and other disruptions. These changes to our lives challenge us to rise to the occasion, or not, and serves as an opportunity for us to embrace more of who we really are and what really matters to us.
When was the last time you took a long, hard look at your life? I'm talking about a serious look and taking inventory of your schedule, commitments, friendships or relationships? Anything that requires your literal investment of time and energy. Be honest. Probably rarely or never, right?
You have to have a setback in order to have a comeback. It is how respond to those setbacks that makes our comeback that much stronger.
Yes, you do need to give yourself permission to grieve, if it is a loss of a loved one, a friendship, your health or a job, grieve. Just do not stay there.
A setback mentality is: "I do not know if I'll ever get past this", "I can't believe this happened to me," OR "How come this always happens to me?"
YOU have to come to a point in your life that you recognize and replace that limiting belief. It is time to admit to yourself that you are capable.
- Give yourself permission to let go of what is holding you back.
- Realize you have everything you need to move forward.
When we think about bouncing back from a challenge, we often try to forget about the difficulties we faced. We restrict ourselves from feeling our emotions or avoid conversations about our flaw and weaknesses. However, in order to fully recover from a tough period in life, we must ourselves to be vulnerable enough to feel our emotions and to admit our flaws. If you do not allow yourself to be vulnerable and truly acknowledge how a setback made you feel, how can you truly ever recover and move forward?
Let's listen to this:
The comeback you make after your setback makes you a stronger and wiser version of yourself.
Let us listen to a bit of motivation:
My health is my biggest setback. A lot I have absolutely no control over but to push my-self past the freaking pain and move. Yesterday was a hard day, the pain was trying so hard to hold me back from my goal of working out. Did I stay in bed? No, I got up, worked out. Yeah it was not the best I would I have liked it too be, but I did not subcome to the pain. Screw you pain! I AM A BADASS!! Remember,
The comeback is always greater!! Come back!! I believe in you, you got this!!
